The World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) has published the eBook “Flying Disc Parasport Wheelchair Ultimate - BOOK 1” written by José Amoroso, which is being introduced as an important resource to promote the adaptive disciplines in our sport to our global audience of more than 100 National Federations.
“On the occasion of the IPC General Assembly, which WFDF attends as an Observer as an IPC-recognized International Federation, we celebrate the IPC motto - Spirit in Motion – a theme which fits so perfectly with our core principle of Spirit of the Game,” stated WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch. “Our new ebook is an important milestone for us as it establishes the first complete set of competition rules including the guidelines on venue layouts for Wheelchair Ultimate. We now plan to begin staging continental competitions in Wheelchair Ultimate in Europe, America, Asia/Oceania by 2023, and subsequently plan for World Championships within a year or two thereafter.”

Author José Amoroso, commented that “This represents an incredible step for Flying disc in formalizing our adaptive sports program. It is challenging to get this established correctly and we still have a lot of work to be done. Prof. José Amoroso (IPLeiria Professor, President of the National Flying Disc Federation of Portugal APUDD and chair of the WFDF University and School Sports Commission) has a 20-year history associated with the dissemination of disc sports in schools, universities, clubs, sports training, and science globally and in his native Portugal.
